Hilary Crawford was Head of Music at Victoria College, Belfast for just under 9 years, before moving to Holywood, Co. Down and setting up an extensive piano teaching practice, teaching students of all ages and abilities.

In recent years, she has become aware that for a lot of children, the “fun” has gone out of learning to play piano, and a new approach to teaching is necessary.

This new approach she now passes on to piano teachers who want to take an accredited piano teachers’ diploma.

She also has a strong interest in the “business” of piano teaching, and in passing on ways that piano teachers can grow their studio.

Although based in Northern Ireland, her daughters’ move to London has provided Hilary with a good reason to start a piano teaching diploma programme in London.
